· Grant money is available to pay for storytelling programs through the Michigan Humanities Council. Monies support programs which hire storytellers whose business practices, content and artistic merit are approved for inclusion in the state artist roster, also known as the Touring Arts Directory. · A new website connects Michigan storytellers with opportunities to promote themselves, their groups, events, ideas, & questions is now available at networking site, http://MichiganStorytelling.ning.com. Established by National Storytelling Network State Liaison, Lois Sprengnether Keel, anyone can view the site, but only site members can post comments & events, have a page with information, photos, & videos. Membership is free.
